MY TAKE:

Project: day 41: get crafty/ diy Minnie mouse centerpiece, table decor for Morgan’s birthday party!
• Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 2 ( I cannot tie a bow very straight or nice to save my life! Adam did the one on the left, and I did the one on the right. Enough said.
• Would I do it again? yes! It turned out so cute, and I will find a way to use them again…somehow!
• What I would do differently: we ended up using chopsticks broken in half to attach the base to the oasis (my toothpicks just were not cutting it!)
• Items used: green floral balls spray-painted with a black satin finish spray paint (both from Hobby Lobby), pink and black gross-grain polka dot ribbon for the bow, black and white polka-dot handkerchief for a quick runner (it’s not her birthday for a few more weeks, I’m just getting ready for it!), toothpicks to hold the ears to the face, and broken chopsticks to attach the oasis base to the face!
until ipinterest tomorrow!
Karie J 🙂

So many cute ideas! Great job!
Thank you! It really was fun to do to. A lot of work, but worth it! 🙂
Wanting to do this for my daughter’s first birthday, any suggestions GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks for checking it out! The centerpieces weren’t super easy, but the were definitely worth it, it added a lot of cuteness to the table. Spray painting the foam balls took a LOT of spray paint (but I did do 2 sets). The bows were took a bit of work to do with the ribbon, but I found that the wired ribbon help out out a lot. I tried many different ways to attach the ears to the head: glue gun (don’t do- it melts!), toothpicks (way to small and flimsy), and finally long bamboo sticks we use for barbecuing; which ended being the best, but we needed quite a few.
Happy to answer any more questions you might have, no problem!!
It doesn’t price a fortune. Because of limiting access to clean-safe water children are forced to cope with diarrhea and other more serious illnesses on the daily basis. However, Chlorinated water produces by products such as trihalomethanes (THMs), which can cause cancer, birth defects and other health problems.
