• Project: Have Fun with it Friday: Creating an outdoor Sunflower Fort! Thanks to my wonderful friend Megan for this tip on my “Recommend a Pin” page I definitely wanted to give it a try with the girls. If it works out I can definitely see them playing in it when the weather is nice (not right now!)
• Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): really it was super easy to do, now for the hard part- growing anything in AZ in the summer time!!
• Time: 20 minutes
• Would I do it again? well I might have to if this first plant doesn’t work out
• What I would do differently: plant when it’s not crazy hot and make sure there’s good enough soil
• Items used: sunflower seeds, love, and the adorable idea from: http://letslassothemoon.com/2011/08/28/sunflower-house/

Project: day 103: outdoors we will go/ super simple tip for growing your own green onions!

The next time you have green onions, don’t throw away the white ends. Simply submerge them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny window. Your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested almost indefinitely ( supposedly.. I will repost and let you know!).
• Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 1
• Would I do it again? yes! We use green onions quite a bit, so it we are able to grow our own this easily, why not?!
• What I would do differently: nothing at all! I’ll update this post in about a month or so as soon as I see some growth/changes taking place 😉
• Items used: mason jar and green onions!
great tip from: http://homemadeserenity.blogspot.com/2011/03/putting-food-by-beef-onions-and-vanilla.html

  • Project: day 73: outdoors we will go/ super easy valentine’s centerpiece (tulips and conversation hearts 😉
  • Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 1
  • Would I do it again? yes, in fact I will be doing it again and again for each and every season! Halloween (candy corn), Easter (Jelly Beans), 4th of July (red, white, and blue M&M’s?), Turkey day (pumpkin candy corn?), Christmas ( red and green M&M’s?). Maybe I’ll come up with some better ideas, but it’s too easy and adorable not to do!
  • What I would do differently: nothing at all except to change it up each season!
  • Items used: large or small conversation hearts (Brach’s or Sweetheart’s work great!), pink tulips, small vase to hold flowers, and large vase to hold small vase as well as the candy 😉

Until ipinterest tomorrow!
