  • Project: day 140: get crafty & crafty kiddos: cute and simple party craft + favor in one: monogrammed pillow cases!
  • Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 2, a bit time consuming to iron on each letter straight, but thanks to my mom (she’s amazing), it went very smoothly!
  • Would I do it again? yes. It was a great craft/activity for the girls to do while they were waiting for their next spa station! They signed each girls pillow case with their names and pictures; they loved it!
  • What I would do differently: I could not find larger letters anywhere! Oh well, zebra pattern is Hayden’s favorite!
  • Items used: white pillow cases, sharpies (I know, dangerous!), cardboard inside each pillow case so the ink did not bleed through, iron-on zebra print letters (from Michael’s).

Until ipinterest tomorrow!

I Won The Kreative Blogger Award!!

Standard

I am so excited to accept the nomination for the Kreative Blogger Award! I was nominated by a hilarious blogger over at: http://whatsupyournose.wordpress.com which is a funny blog on “The Good, The Bad, and The Hilarious of Parenting”! Thank you so much!

Here are the rules which I must comply with :

1. You must thank the person who has given you the award.
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3. Link the person who has nominated you for the award.
4. Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.
5. Nominate 7 other Kreativ Bloggers.
6. Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
7. Leave a comment on which of the blogs to let them know they have been nominated.

So without further ado, here are 7 random, or possibly interesting things about me:

  1. Crafting, cooking, and all things creative do not come naturally to me, I typically have to work twice as hard and usually mess things up the first time around!
  2. I love yoga, tennis, and hiking if I ever have time (which is rarely)
  3. I have taught preschool, kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade
  4. My husband is a better cook than I am, but I love being his taste tester!
  5. I am such an amateur at blogging; stumbling through it, but learning everyday!
  6. I love to shop, maybe a little too much!
  7.  I love to sing at my church!
Now on to the nominations for 7 more “Kreative Bloggers” that I enjoy reading on a daily basis:
  1. http://meganelizabethgilbert.wordpress.com/  : my sister who has more creativity in her pinkie than I could ever have in my lifetime!
  2. http://lovelylovelythings.wordpress.com/ : A very inspirational blog
  3. http://www.becauseithinkican.com/ a great blog that shows you can make things yourself!
  4. http://butterscotchlady.com/ a very creative blog where I love to get some new ideas from!
  5. http://ipinnedit.wordpress.com/ a great pinterest blog!
  6. http://easygoingorganizer.com/ this blog is very creative in her uses of organization, I love it!

Congratulations! I hope you can check out these winners, they are great!
