make it monday: father’s day crafts

Standard

Happy Monday!

So I decided to change it up a bit and in stead of posting in bulk, I will be posting by weekly theme:

Make it Monday (anything craft related)

Taste it Tuesday (food!)

Wear it Wednesday (fashionable momma and kiddo)

Tiddy it Thursday (organizing and cleaning tips)

Feature it Friday (showcasing my favorite blogs, tips, anything goes!)

Any feedback would be great!

  • Project: day 132: get crafty/ so simple and cute easter or spring snack/ carrot “goldfish“!
  • Thanks so much to Grandma B and Aunt Molly for helping out with so much Easter fun!
  • Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 1
  • Would I do it again? yes, it was too adorable! They were the perfect snack for the kiddos after a long easter egg hunt, but they are also great as parting gifts, easter basket fillers, cute lunch box snacks, and so much more!
  • What I would do differently:  make more to hand out with friends, or change out the goldfish for orange jelly beans!
  • Items used: goldfish, clear cellophane treat bags shaped into carrots by scotch tape and green ribbon!

Until ipinterest tomorrow!

Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 1
• Would I do it again? yes. It is so easy to get sidetracked from the real meaning and story of why we celebrate Easter, but doing this craft/activity helps keep things in focus!
• What I would do differently: do it every year as an Easter family tradition, as well as have printable versions of the poem to hand out to relatives and friends 🙂
• Items used: jelly beans, ice cream cones, twizzlers or licorice, as well as the cute idea and poem behind the meaning of each colors go to: http://beinglds.blogspot.com/2011/03/telling-story-of-easter-with-jelly.html and poem here: http://www.dltk-holidays.com/easter/jellybean.htm

Project: day 124: cooking it up/ kids cook/ adorable easter or spring “chick and egg” breakfast/ “peeping pancake“!
• Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 2. It really should be a 1, but since I always mess these things up and mine definitely did not turn out as cute as the original source, it’s a 2!
• Would I do it again? yes. I need to try it again so I can get it right, but it really didn’t matter to the girls. They still thought it was adorable and ate it all up!
• What I would do differently: make it better!
• Items used: eggs, pancakes, chocolate chips for eyes, and a small piece of orange for the nose, plus the adorable idea and recipe from: http://kitchenfunwithmy3sons.blogspot.com/2012/03/peeping-pancake-breakfast.html
Until ipinterest tomorrow!
