day 131: crafty kiddos/ a fun Easter or Spring tradition: turning jelly beans into lollipops!

  • Would I do it again? yes, and we definitely will do this tradition each and every Easter Eve!
  • What I would do differently: “plant” more!
  • Items used: jelly beans which were “planted” and then grew into lollipops Easter morning!

  • Project: day 118: fashionable momma/ diy beachy waves, or not?!
  • Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 1, just not sure it really worked how I wanted it to.
  • Would I do it again? not sure, it didn’t turn out quite like I had hoped, but I had to try! 😦
  • What I would do differently: I wish I knew, maybe it was my hair… I have  a lot of it!
  • Items used: Solia Flat iron, Oribe Beach Wave Spray, Treseme Tres 2 hairspray.
  • Section hair into 5-10 big sections than braid each in a loose braid. Run a flatiron over each braid, let them cool down, spray hairspray and undo the braids.

• Would I do it again? Yes! I love this classic LBD look. It’s so simple, yet fun at the same time!
• What I would do differently: Oh you could do so many things! Dress up more for night with heels, do an up-do, ad more splashy jewelry… you name it!
• Items used: Little Black Dress: Gap, black and gold earrings: Forever 21, gold bangles: Stella and Dot, leopard flats: Merona by Target (would love to have the Tory Burch one’s some day!) 😉

  • Project: day 77: fashionable momma/ post valentine’s date night/ cobalt blue jeans, top knot bun, bright pink lipstick (yes I’m ready for spring!)
  • Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 1 (the top knot is a touch tricky to get it just right, still not sure if I did though;)
  • Would I do it again? yes, I love cobalt blue and all of the fresh new colors of the spring. Hot pink lipstick is the new red, and the top knot is fun to try!
  • What I would do differently: dress it down with flats or sandals for day
  • Items used: Gap cobalt blue jeggings, Target tank top, Ralph Lauren white linen blouse, Steve Madden nude peep-toe pumps,

Project: day 37: fashionable momma/ winter casual date night outfit, turned into popcorn night in(cooking it up)! After a day at work, going out just sounded like to much work! A night in sometimes is the best thing to do, this fashionable momma, was a tired momma!

• Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 1
• Would I do it again?outfit: yes, it was cute, comfy and casual; plus I really love that color green! popcorn: no, I thought it was a weird combination of lemon an parmesan, didn’t quite work for us!
• What I would do differently: outfit: well, if I had those awesome Tory Burch boots, I would definitely be wearing those! popcorn: leave out the lemon and parmesan, and make Kettle Korn, my favorite! 😉
• Items used: outfit: Brass Plum green cardigan (Nordstrom’s), black James Jeans (Nordstrom’s), Ugg brown leather boots (Nordstrom’s), white ceramic Michael Kors watch (Nordstrom’s), Gorjana gold hoop earrings, Gap leopard print scarf (I just love scarfs in the winter!). Popcorn: Orville Redenbacher’s Gourmet popping corn, Lawrey’s Lemon Pepper, Messana Grated Parmesan

day 7: Cooking it up/Crock pot lasagna with Herbed Garlic Bread

  • Project: day 7: Cooking it up/Crock pot lasagna with Herbed Garlic Bread
  • Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 2
  • Would I do it again? Yes! It was so yummy. The herbed garlic bread was probably the best home-made garlic bread out there, and the lasagna was a hit with the whole fam. I also added the italian sausage, but next time I will also add the garlic and onions :). For the bread I also moved it toward the broiler for a few additional minutes, post recommended cooking time.

We had a 40’s themed Christmas party tonight and I really wanted to do a winged cat-eye/retro make-up look; it’s so fun!
