• Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 2, super simple and fun project to do with the kiddos
• Time: 2 days (includes drying time)
• Would I do it again? yes! The bird ate it up right away so we will definitely have to do another one, it turned out so cute!
• What I would do differently: do different shapes like stars, hearts, you name it!
• Items used: birdseed, bunt pan mold, burlap from Home Depot (cheapest place to get it), and adorable recipe for the wreath from: http://www.infarrantlycreative.net/2012/03/birdseed-wreath.html

• Project: Have Fun with it Friday: Creating an outdoor Sunflower Fort! Thanks to my wonderful friend Megan for this tip on my “Recommend a Pin” page I definitely wanted to give it a try with the girls. If it works out I can definitely see them playing in it when the weather is nice (not right now!)
• Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): really it was super easy to do, now for the hard part- growing anything in AZ in the summer time!!
• Time: 20 minutes
• Would I do it again? well I might have to if this first plant doesn’t work out
• What I would do differently: plant when it’s not crazy hot and make sure there’s good enough soil
• Items used: sunflower seeds, love, and the adorable idea from: http://letslassothemoon.com/2011/08/28/sunflower-house/

Project: day 103: outdoors we will go/ super simple tip for growing your own green onions!

The next time you have green onions, don’t throw away the white ends. Simply submerge them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny window. Your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested almost indefinitely ( supposedly.. I will repost and let you know!).
• Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 1
• Would I do it again? yes! We use green onions quite a bit, so it we are able to grow our own this easily, why not?!
• What I would do differently: nothing at all! I’ll update this post in about a month or so as soon as I see some growth/changes taking place 😉
• Items used: mason jar and green onions!
great tip from: http://homemadeserenity.blogspot.com/2011/03/putting-food-by-beef-onions-and-vanilla.html

  • Project: day 43: outdoors we will go/ house decor/ succulents and planting day!
  • Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 2 (thank you mom for helping me with my black thumb!)
  • Would I do it again? yes, I absolutely love succulents so much. I have had them indoors for about 6-8 months, and I haven’t killed them yet!
  • What I would do differently: get more! The girls absolutely love planting, I just need to do it more often. I think I just typically shy away from it since I don’t have a green thumb, but oh well, we can do it again in a few months!
  • Items used: all plants and a few new pots from Lowe’s.

until ipinterest tomorrow!
