• Project: CMYK Inspired Baby Shower, part 1 {Make it Monday: Crepe Paper Chandeliers, decorations, and tissue paper pom poms!
• Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 3- just time-consuming, but had a lot of help!
• Time: 1 day to do prepare for the whole party- includes the other parts of the shower
• Would I do it again? Well of course! This shower was for my sister Megan who is expecting in September. So grateful to be able to help celebrate in Canada with her!
• What I would do differently: nothing! Meg wanted a CMYK inspired shower which is basically, according to Wikipedia: “CMYK refers to the four inks used in some color printing: cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black).”

• Items used: crepe paper and tissue paper in yellow, magenta, and blue, and the adorable ideas inspired from: Domestic Ease , Housing a Forest , and ipinterest

• Project: day 81: baking away/ super easy and delicious chocolate dipped Oreo truffles
Difficulty rating (1=easiest, 5= way too hard!): 1 (and I didn’t mess it up… I think!)
• Would I do it again? oh yes! They were actually too good! I will definitely have to pass these off so I don’t eat them all.
• What I would do differently: nothing at all! We halved the recipe since we we’re making them just for fun, but they are definitely party worthy. Amazing!
• Items used: recipe from:  http://allrecipes.com/recipe/easy-oreo-truffles/

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) package OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided
  • 1 (8 ounce) package PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages BAKER’S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted

Directions

  1. Crush 9 of the cookies to fine crumbs in food processor; reserve for later use. (Cookies can also be finely crushed in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin.) Crush remaining 36 cookies to fine crumbs; place in medium bowl. Add cream cheese; mix until well blended. Roll cookie mixture into 42 balls, about 1-inch in diameter.
  2. Dip balls in chocolate; place on wax paper-covered baking sheet. (Any leftover chocolate can be stored at room temperature for another use.) Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.
  3. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Store leftover truffles, covered, in refrigerator.
